Announcement: Novelette Published on Amazon...and Other News

Great news! I have self-published a short book on Amazon! Could this be the beginning of a new series?

Additionally, earlier this year, I completed a year-long edit of a novel called "The Hero of Farlenas: A House Divided." I have been sending it out to literary agents and am hoping to hear back soon.

I will try to post some occasional stories on here as they come to mind and as I find the time. Thank you to any readers who still check my site from time to time!

About Me

My name is Kory Labarga. I grew up in Winters, California, where I began my semi-illustrious writing career. Of course, I was only four at the time. After watching the movie, "Jurassic Park," I was compelled to write a sequel, and thus created a short story (with pictures!) for every member of my family. Short stories turned into long stories, long stories into novellas, novellas into novels, and novels into trilogies. I am presently working on a novel called "The Hero of Farlenas" in addition to various short stories.

God is present in my mind every day; my hope and aim is to be a light to the world. I read the Word regularly and desire to live a life like Christ's, loving and teaching others through daily interaction and my writing. I became a Christian in 2005, and my world has been altered tremendously since He revealed Himself to me. He is such a kind Father! I pray that my stories, poems, and expositions would be encouraging and challenging to others, and glorifying to Him.

Music is significant me, not only as a medium to which I listen, but also as another medium of creation. I play acoustic guitar and sing, and often record worship music. Spending many hours creating new songs (or replaying those that are older) is an excellent way to exercise my creative talent, which I consider to be a gift from God.
